Unique bridge that was made together with North Korea, which crosses the Hantangang River, Seungilgyo Bridge.

通过南北合作建设的独特的桥梁，横跨汉滩江的承日桥

 
Seungilgyo Bridge is extended from hantan river to Cheorwon dongsong-eup. Its height is 35m, length of 120m, and with of 6m. This bridge was constructed by North Koreans at first, for military usage, however, the Korean War started then halted. After the war, South Korea finished the other half of the bridge and named it Seungilgyo Bridge. So if you look closely, there is little difference between these halves.

承日桥是横跨汉滩江、连接铁原郡东松邑与葛末邑的高35米、长度120米、宽度6米的桥梁。承日桥是一半是北韩方面、另一半是我方建设的桥梁而闻名，本来建设承日桥的是北韩方面。1948年8月，北韩为了将该桥梁作为军事用途使用，动员铁原与金化的地区住民，自东松邑开始进行工事。但是，桥梁在完成一半左右的状态下，爆发了6.25战争而中断建设。此后，收复该地区的韩国政府，在1958年与北韩不同的工法完成桥梁的剩下区间，并起名为‘承日桥’。所以，细看承日桥的桥脚，可以知道北韩方面与我方进行工事部分的形状不同。

There are 2 stories about this bridge. Since it was made by both Korea, the bridge was named, ‘Seung’, from Lee Seung Man(south Korea’s first leader) and ‘Il” from Kim Il Sung(north Korea’s first leader). Other story is that, general Park Seung Il died during crossing this bridge, so it was named Seungilgyo Bridge. Today, beside Seungilgyo Bridge, there is Hantan Bridge which was made with modern technology during 1999. Currently, Seungilgyo Bridge is registered cultural property number 26. And is being managed.

‘承日桥’之名相传两种故事。一个是，因为是南北合作完成的桥梁，在李承晚首任总统的‘承’字与金日成的‘日’字结合在一起，起名为‘承日桥’；另一个是，为了纪念在6.25战争当时想要跨过汉滩江的已故朴昇日大领，起名为‘承日桥’。现在，承日桥旁并列着在1999年以现代工法以拱形钢筋结构建设的‘汉滩大桥’，而承日桥作为登录文化财第26号进行管理。
