By the fullmoon’s light, the beautiful pavilion with a glorious silvery moon

满月，皎洁的月光中更加美丽的亭子 
 
Yeonmijeong Pavilion is placed on the top of Wolgotdondae, Ganghwa-eup, Ganghwa-gun. The northeastern Ganghwado, where Yeonmijeong Pavilion is, looks like the tail of swallow because the water branches off into two streams, so it was named Yeonmijeong. Although the construction age is unknown, there is a record that students of Gujae, a private educational institution at the time of King Gojong of the Goryeo Dynasty, studied here. Damage from the Imjin war, the Manchu war and the Korean War was restored to achieve the current condition.

燕尾亭是建立在江华郡江华邑月串墩台山顶的亭子。燕尾亭所在的江华岛东北端是汉江与临津江合流并西侧与南侧分流的地方，其模样酷似燕尾，故在亭子起名为‘燕尾亭’。建立年代不确定，但相传高丽高宗将私立教育机构-九斋的学生聚集在这里授课的记录。经过壬辰倭乱与丙子胡乱、6.25战争的时候多次被毁损，后来以现在的面貌复原。

 
It is one of Eight Scenic Views of Ganghwa, and it is famous for its scenery of the full moon. Two Zolba trees, hundreds of years old, on both sides of the pavilion, stretch their branches from side to side. It was not easy to access because it was a restricted civilian area. However, now, it is open to the public to appreciate the beautiful scenery.

燕尾亭是江华八景之一，以满月迎月风景非常美丽而闻名。亭子两侧有两棵数百年树龄的榉树，就像环抱着亭子般，展开着茂盛的树枝。过去这里是民间人限制区域，普通市民的出入并不自由，但2008年开始解除民间人限制区域，普通市民也可以尽情享受燕尾亭优雅的情趣。
