用弹痕珍藏6.25战争的悲剧，证明韩国铁道的历史

 
An ivy-covered water tower in Yeoncheon Station stands with the pain of the Korean War. A water tower for railroad that was built in 1919 supplied water to a steam train that came and went between Incheon and Wonsan. The steam locomotives that were the main transportation were replaced by diesel units in 1950. A water tower stopped supplying water, but remains intact, keeping the history.

将6.25战争痛苦的痕迹用深绿的爬山虎藤蔓遮掩，并耸立的涟川站给水塔。这是1919年建立的铁道给水塔，是通过这里往来于仁川与元山的蒸汽火车供水的地方。一段时期，成为我民族主要交通手段的蒸汽火车，于1950年代被内燃机车代替，消失在历史的另一面。给水塔也是结束了自己的作用，但依然保留着原来的面貌，以供我们回顾过去的历史。

There are some bullet marks somewhere in the water tower of Yeoncheon Station. Before the Korean War, this was the southernmost part of North Korea, and it was the place to move a lot of military supplies through Gyeongwon Railroad. Moreover, the scars of water tower were created by the UN forces. The water tower in Yeonchon Station was designated as an important cultural heritage to understand the history of the Korean railroad. Except for Yeoncheon Station, there are Dogye Station in Gangwon-do and Chupungryeong Station in Chungcheongbuk-do, Yeonsan Station in Chungcheongnam-do having water towers. Water tower in Yeoncheon-gun was designated as the No. 45 registered cultural property to understand the history of the Korean railroad.

涟川站给水塔的各处遗留着枪弹的痕迹。6.25战争之前为止，这里是北韩的最南端地区，同时通过京元线大量转移北韩的军事物资之处。所以，涟川站给水塔的伤痕大部分都是以耸立的给水塔作为坐标，进行过轰炸的联合国军所遗留。韩国除了涟川站，还有江原道道溪站、秋风岭站、忠南莲山站等地遗留着给水塔，而涟川郡给水塔被指定为登录文化财第45号，作为可以理解韩国铁道历史的主要遗产受到保护
