Ice storage during the Japanese occupation period, proving the history of storing ice from ancient time to present time.

Even at a first glance, the square building proves it stood for long years. No decorations are found in this building which concludes that it was made only for functional purpose. Cheorwon ice storage was built by a Japanese man that owned a restaurant, for private purposes. It states that he collected ice from Sanmyeongho Lake during winter, and sold to each establishment. It was destroyed during the Korean War and only the rubbles of the wall remains today. Through this building you can see the development of ancient ice storage to present refrigerator. May 27, 2002 Cheorwon ice storage was registered as Modern Cultural Heritage Cultural Property No. 24 and is being managed.

这是乍看就能知道是在漫长岁月煎熬的四方形建筑物。看似只求功能性用途，所以看不到任何装饰性部分。铁原冰库是在日帝强占期下，为了某个日本餐厅主人的个人用途而建的混凝土单层建筑物。冬天采取山明湖冰块，储藏在这个地方，夏季向各个商家销售。6·25战争当时几乎被破坏，只留下现在墙体的残骸。通过该建筑物，可以知道古代的石冰库到近代的冰库、现在的冰箱的冰块储藏的变化面貌。铁原冰库于2002年5月27日被指定为近代文化遗产登录文化财第24号受到管理。
